Varenhorst is the managing architect at 600 North Broad Street in Philadelphia in which approximately 47,000 SF of space is being renovated in a predominantly one story building. The building, which was formerly the Wilkie Buick Dealership, is being renovated to feature several high profile restaurants including spaces for Stephen Starr, Marc Vetri, and Joe Volpe. A new 8000 SF landscaped courtyard is being sculpted into the core of the block with entry from Mount Vernon Street. The courtyard is overlooked by newly renovated loft apartments, also designed by Varenhorst, in the 7 story Biberman Building which forms the westernmost portion of the block.
