  • The St. Nicholas Hotel, a National Register-listed building, was originally built in March of 1921.  Varenhorst was retained to design a conversion providing 98 spacious one- and two- bedroom residential units.  The project scope included extensive interior renovations, detailed historic restoration of the exterior, dedicated parking, and a shared courtyard. A driving priority on this project was the preservation of much of the building’s original character and architectural detail.
