This masterplan proposal for the blocks immediately west of a major railroad Station was presented as an augmentation to a university’s campus-wide masterplan.

The program includes:

  • academic offices

  • teaching space

  • research laboratory space

  • commercial office space

  • student and market rate housing

  • street level retail and restaurants

  • a 5000 seat auditorium

The combined area of program is approximately 5 million square feet including parking. This study prompted the university to further retain Varenhorst to design a new 230,000 SF over-build for its University Plaza.
